I was thinking about maybe sleeping on the floor with my new self inflating pad tonite. I could use the bag and rubberband method in this video to get the last little bit of air into it without blowing into it.

This is such a neat idea. I love it.

Me to I did just order that Thermarest Airtap but I don't have to wait for it to come. I ordered several other things also. I will have a few pillows to test soon.

This is the trail that is close to me. I have been there several times and I stayed in one of those shelters over night once.

This will be good for bug-out bags, too.

Yes it would. Remember Eric The Black said about using quarter size pieces of paper towels? I want to try and compare both of these methods. I already know that my butt doesn't care for that super absorbent TP.

That will be an interesting comparison. Also, I guess what you could do in regards to the super-absorbent TP is to buy a small amount for yourself and keep buying the other for household use.

I just sat here and made a TP Quick Pull Config packet as in the video. It is evident that the UK is still using the wider TP roll. A quart bag is to big. I will try to get some pint bags in the future. The TP that I used is also single ply. I'm not off to a good start. I will have to see if there is a 2 ply in the TP I use.

I didn't think of it before but I agree with him about having several small packets rather then all of your TP in one packet. If a little water gets in there goes your TP and I can see it happening so easily. The quart freezer bags work much nicer with the quarter size pieces of paper towels. I just made a few packets of them.

I agree, it's better to have more than one baggy of TP.

I loaded more stuff in my training pack. The weather is calling for a 40% chance of rain so I could also test out some rain gear.
