Fortunately I don't have much of a problem with light pollution from the neighbors who live a good distance away behind trees.
My biggest light pollution problem is with the moon, but at least it's another fascinating object to observe.

Well my plan from the beginning has been to get them to try. When I use my binoculars I don't wear my eyeglasses. I don't know how long that will last?

Things like that are hard to predict. My distance vision has changed a bit, but I can still get by. My glasses still work well enough with my near-sightedness. It isn't possible for me to do things without them because I can barely make out the 'E' at the top of the eye chart without them.

Sorry, I have a bit of a chance to do a bit of observation tonight, so I'm hoping to look at Gemini and it's deep sky objects, plus M 48. Orion may be behind some trees by the time things get dark enough here, but we'll see. I might get a better chance at this tomorrow night, too.

Well, I was able to get almost an hour in, which was a good practice. Got the viewfinder to work and it does make a difference. Zeroed in on Sirius while the sky was darkening, then went on to Orion since it was still above the tree tops. Found the Orion Nebula and then popped in the 2x Barlow. It didn't improve anything. Didn't really try the 9mm since it has an eye relief that gets in the way of my glasses. Wanted to move on to Castor and Pollux, but the clouds came in before I could get too far. I really need an astronomical chair setup for those two, anyway.

I think that there may be a little trickery involved in this video. Notice when he puts them on how strange it is like he just flips them on. I think they may have been filmed being taken off and they are now showing it in reverse.

I was just looking on YouTube for reviews of these and could not find any. There is a video about using them for birding but its like a commercial. They have been out for a few years.

Sherlew are you keeping an astronomy journal yet? I have been thinking about going back over my journal and making a couple of lists. One of what I have viewed and with what and one of the things that I could not see or find and what I was using.
