I am thinking about getting a few of the other types of sleeping pads to try out. I have a closed cell foam pad and one of those inflatable Klymit pads. www.campmor.com/Product___98097I would like to try one of the self inflating pads and another inflatable pad.

Well, now would be the time to try them all out and see which is the best one.

I washed my stainless steal bottle and will try it out tomorrow. I also dug out my sil-nylon tarp and seam sealer. I will try to put the seam sealer on it right before I leave tomorrow.

I never seen them before. They look to be difficult to carry when full.

That is a single wall stainless steel water bottle and I'm thinking and hoping it doesn't have any coatings inside or out. Its not just for carrying water. You can also boil water in it to make it safer. The coiled retractable key lanyards are to help keep from loosing things. I have had 2 jobs in my life so far that dealt highly with people loosing things, a tool PO in the navy and a treasure hunter. People loose stuff like crazy. In a survival situation you don't want to lose your survival gear. If any of you have been watching the TV series on the History called lost you know that one of the guys tapped out and left early just because he lost his fire starter. If he had it tethered to him with a lanyard that would not have happened.

You'd think these guys would know better.

These are the 2 tarp set-ups that I think about the most. They provide the most protection from wind & rain. In the first video if I use a poncho maybe some how I could hang it over the door.
