Will your overnight temps be warm enough by then?

I hope so. I bought 2 bags of potting soil today. What I was using was seed starter. Think I'll do some planting or replanting this weekend. When should I be seeing bulbs on the radishes. They should be done on the 27th.

Radishes are suppose to be mature in 3 weeks.

I stayed home today and worked on my plants and cleaned. I planted some French Breakfast Radishes. I did several things different this time. I added plant food. I left enough space to mound soil around them later and I sprinkled ground cinnamon on top. I also transplanted a cayenne hot pepper seedling to a bigger pot.

I threw out that first crop of radishes. They just kept going down hill. The French Breakfast Radishes are doing great so far. They are a nice dark green. Tomorrow or over the weekend I may thin them out. I tried to spread the seeds out but somehow there are some clumps of them growing.

That's how it goes with those little seeds. I doubt that anyone's been able to find a way to distribute the seeds without them falling into clumps.
Sorry that you had to throw out the previous batch, but am glad that the new ones are doing well.

My Cayenne Hot Pepper plant and Common Chives are doing good. I don't know what to say about my Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce about half of the window box fell over and wither. What is still standing seems to be OK. I think I planted it before I started using slow release plant food. I will be taking another crack at lettuce.

I will wait until they turn off the heat before I plant lettuce again.

Sherlew do you know what kind of chives it is that you grow? I got the starts for those at the local co-op so long ago, I don't remember. Hubby collects the seeds and restarts them now and then. I'd have to ask someone at the store to see if they remember which they were. I just know that they're tasty.

I'm thinking you might be able to tell from the leaves. I'm thinking Common Chives have a hollow leaf and the Garlic Chive or Chinese Chives have a flat leaf.

Looks like we have the common chive since they have the hollow leaves and purple flowers. I doubt that the garlic chives would do as well here.

I just thinned my radishes and piled more soil around them.
