It was just OK. Might be better with other stuff added. I think that I actually do feel better after eating it.

Might start a batch of mung bean sprouts now to see what they are like. I read they have vitamin C in them.

That was a pretty healthy and nutritious combination. I've found that not every recipe I've tried is to my liking, though, even though it's supposed to be good for you. I hope the next combination tastes better.

I started my first batch of mung bean sprouts last night and today I bought some Amaranth.

What if we try putting sardines on top of lentil sprouts?

After they're sprouted and cooked? Hmm, that might be worth a try.

I tried the "dry" method of spouting lentils on this last batch and it was mostly successful, but I did see a few that didn't sprout. Maybe they were separated from the others and dried out. I've also been laying my sprouter on it's side these last two attempts. I started doing this after soaking my first batch. After draining them I kept thinking that I needed to spread them out more, so just put some in another container. One of the videos you linked to, Don, reminded me that jars and similar containers can be turned on their sides. That little trick has worked so far.

I bought some small pita bread today. I'll try to make a sandwich for supper tonite with the frozen lentiles sprouts and sardines. Sherlew did you find anything at your market to sprout yet?

Last night when I took the mung bean sprouts out of the fridge the tail were longer then I wanted. The fridge didn't slow down their growth as much as I thought it would. I boiled them for 5 minutes anyway then tried a few to see if anything would happen. I don't think anything did. I will probably make another order soon. I'm thinking of getting another sprouter so that I have 2 and maybe a book on sprouting. I still haven't made up my mine what to try next.

I'll take a look after work today. They have a shelf dedicated to sprouting seeds. I'll just have to select what to buy. I really want to get more lentils, though. I really like them.

The mung bean sprouts should be fine since they've been refrigerated, then well-cooked. I'm thinking of getting a couple of mason jars and cheesecloth in order to expand my sprouting operation.

Freezing the lentil sprouts after I cooked them seems to have worked out OK. I should have gotten the regular size pita bread. I liked it but what I got was to small. The sardine and Lentil sprouts seem to have went OK together but I didn't season them in any way. We need to work on seasoning.

Yes, it's time to try out seasonings. Although I'm quite happy with onion powder on lentils, there may be something else just as yummy.

I seen lemon pepper mensioned somewhere. I'd like to try that. Might see if I can get some tomorrow. The EVOO and lemon juice was an OK start. We should build on that. Salt might be good to add.
