I would like to know more on the investigation? The plane and the radio operator vanished. What was left was the pilot and the jettisoned canopy.

That would be interesting to look into. I have to go in to town early today, though. Will be back later and I will have tomorrow off.

I went and looked at a map of this base trying to get a better understanding.

This account inspired me to buy this model today and add it to my collection.

I just now found out that this is the same aircraft that was sent after the UFOs that flew over the white house in 1952.

That account in this video of the F-89C Scorpion over Lake Superior is interesting also.

These 2 accounts make me ponder things of other worlds and this one. Were the alien collecting examples of our defensive technology to study? The aliens could be thinking that we use our newest and most advanced aircraft for protection right over our own homeland but from what I have learned to some degree this isn't the case. The reserves and guard get passed down the aircraft that have been replaced by newer models.

I heard yesterday that the pilots of the F-94C Starfires did not like firing the rockets that where contained in the nose of the aircraft for two reasons. One because it temporarily blinded them and two because they believed that the rocket exhaust might shut their off. For these reasons it was said the nose rockets often went unloaded.

Having those nose rockets firing straight center line with the aircraft may have been what it was designed around like the A-10 was designed around its cannon. It does make for a great advantage like a birds eyes being inline with its beak for pecking.

That's understandable. I'm sorry, what was it that the pilots thought the rocket exhaust might shut off?
