The Crescent Nebula spans about 1/3 of a degree. Doing some quick iffy math in my head what I seen seems to fit.

Date: Oct. 07, 2016 Friday Time: 00:00 ~ 01:00 Equipment: Meade Infinity 60mm AZ Refractor Telescope, Eyepieces 26mm MA (31x) and 15mm Plossl (53x), Rio LayFlat Ultimate Backpack Chair. General Subject(s): SUMMER TRIANGLE Notes: Mostly observed Albireo with both eyepieces trying to lock the telescope on it. I don't think I was able to do so. It is very difficult both viewing and using the red dot finder from the bottom of the upward pointing telescope. I viewed mostly the SUMMER TRIANGLE because it was over in the western sky and not overhead which seems more difficult with this telescope. While scanning around CYGNUS between Deneb and Gamma Cygni I viewed a star with a cloud around it. Could it be the Gamma Cygni Nebula (IC1318) or one of several Nebulae associated with it? I am leaning toward it being NGC6888-The Crescent Nebula. I seen one shooting star heading from south to north. I really need to get a Reflecting or Dobsonian Telescope. That is cool. Think I found a website that may be helpful. Hawaiian Astronomical Society

I like those maps. I just made charts for both of my telescopes showing the TFOV for each of the eyepieces with each telescope.

I know that NGC688 is on the other side of Gamma Cygni (Sadr) from where I said that I was scanning but so far aiming with this telescope really does suck and NGC6888 does fit the bill with the 2 ways of verifying that I came a cross so far and they are visually (comparing what I seen to photos) and size.

There is something similar in Delphinus NGC6905 but I don't think it is it or that I was that far off.

Yesterday at Walmart I bought a pack of multi color 1.6 mm BiC Cristal pens for writing in my Astronomy Journal.

I just trimmed and placed my Shuttle and ISS drawing into the cover of my Astronomy Journal and I am very pleased with it. My first Shuttle drawing is on the back of the journal.

Are you going to start an astronomy journal?

Well, since I have the telescope now, I suppose I should.

I took my astronomy journal up and showed it to my art teacher today and she liked my drawings.

Date: Sat. Nov. 12, 2016 Time: 19:30 ~ 20:20 EQ: BUSHNELL 3 inch AZ Reflector Telescope. General Subject(s): Vega, Albireo. Notes: First Light for my new BUSHNELL DEEP SPACE 3 inch AZ Reflector Telescope. Only used the H 20mm eyepiece that came with it which gave 35x. Tried using a longer 2x Barlow Lens that I got with one of my MEADE telescopes and could not get it to focus. Then tried using the 3x Barlow Lens that came with it and was able to get it to focus. Got very good separation on Albireo but just 2 stars not 3 at 105x.

I got a Barlow Lens with each of my telescopes and none are the same length.
