I made 2 gnat traps last nite. I put one in the kitchen and the other in the bathroom. There are lots of dead gnats in both but still some flying and crawling around.

 This is the gnat trap that I left in the kitchen over nite. There aren't as many dead gnats in it as the bathroom. There are still some flying and crawling around here as well. |

Na, I learned about them a bazillion years ago when I worked in bars. Bars have a big time problem with gnats. They like to get into the booze. The recipe is only vinegar, water, and dish soap.

I got a pack of coffee stirrers and I'll be using them as walk ways now for the traps in stead of the tooth picks. I cut them in half and they fit the cup perfactly.

There are a lot more gnats in the trap now then you see in the photos.
I found out that if they are standing on the rim (which they often do) you can blow a puff of air and blow them into the liquid.

It does work very well. It really speeds things up as far as getting rid of them goes.

Just emptied and got rid of one of the gnat traps. It caught and killed so many gnats that their dead bodies colored the liquid like tea.

I had 4 gnats going. Now I'm down to 2. They all worked but WOW one of them really did super. Probably due to its location.
