I'm not finding anything on a major fall asterism specifically, but did find this interesting article on the big dipper and how it moves about the night sky through the seasons. I also found something on winter asterisms. Think I'll try changing my keywords a bit.

I already know the major winter one is Orion. Yeah, and it was neat that constellation was still in the sky when I started observing earlier this year. I just looked up into the sky and there he was.
