The effect that I've noted with this stuff is that it works the exact opposite to how pizza (or turmoil) works on you dreams. May have to do with the vitamins.

There could be a correlation between low vitamin levels and bad dreams. I've also heard that good smells can lead to better dreams and unpleasant smells might lead to nightmares. I doubt that either one has really been studied, though.

It is more syrupy then Vegemite and in a way milder. I'm currently thinking I like Vegemite better but I had more time to get use to it.

Marmite works the same for sleep as Vegemite does.

 I thought this order of Vegemite was coming from the UK but from what the customs label says it looks like it came from Belgium. Look the side of one jar has brown gook on it. It doesn't look like it was opened or broke. |

I just wiped it off with a damp paper towel and it gave off the smell of Vegemite.

I'm guessing that another jar in the same shipping box broke and they didn't get it's contents quite wiped off that jar. As long as it's still properly sealed, you should be OK.
