Actually, I think the girl in the second video was talking about the 'core.' I used to eat pears the same way but am thinking of trying to eat one either from the top down or bottom up. People say that you can eat an apple the same way.

Are they ripe yet? If not, you'll want to keep them out of the fridge until they are. Once they are ripe, refrigeration will help them hang around longer.

I just took my first bite from one of the bartlett pears that I bought a bag of. I snapped off the stem and took the bite from the top. It is very good so far. I hope this is a good step towards eating better for me.

I am still getting new types of pears to try. My favorite one so far is the Bosc pear. It probably doesn't look as good as a Bartlett pear to most people.

I like bosc pears the best as well.
