I hand pollinated my peppers with a Q-tip. It looks like beans are different. You don't put the bristles of the toothbrush in the flower you just touch them to the stem by the flower.

Just made up some aspirin water. You can't make up just a little.

True, you need a lot of water in proportion to the aspirin.

Yep I'm using 1/2 aspirin to about 1/2 gallon of water.

I might try to get some elastic today to use for tying plants up. I seen that in a video also.

Just did my morning farming. I fertilized. I tied up my pepper because it was starting to lean from the peppers. I used the elastic that I bought and I tried a clove hitch this time. I sprayed some of my plants with aspirin water. It's a gamble. I hope it helps them and not hurt them.

There was even more blossoms on my beans this morning and you could see the color in them better. I can't wait until I start seeing beans.

I am learning as I go and one of the difficult things is not all plants talk the same. My pepper plant talks to me with its lower leaves whereas my beans seem to talk with their upper leaves. I'm still trying to figure the shallots out. They are much more different.

I was wondering if my vibrating toothbrush was good enough or if I should have gotten a rotating one. Well it looks like it was good enough. It only cost $1. The switch it a little strange. At first you think its 2 position but its not.

I hope it continues to work well for you. Some $1 items aren't that good and don't last very long, but some seem to work well for awhile. Some expensive things don't seem to last much longer though. That's just the way it goes anymore. Most of my experience this way is with earbuds.
