In the above photos you will see 2 items. I don't know if any of you remember but I posted about the incident with the first item before. I am to lazy to look for it and should go over it again here any way. The first item is a modern version of the old time wind-up alarm clock. It does not wind-up. It takes a battery. This is what I think turned out to be the important part. The alarm is turned off by a totally different means. On the old time wind-up alarm clocks the alarm was stopped by using a lever located between the bells to secure the striking hammer. On this newer battery version the alarm is stopped by means of a tiny hard to see and locate switch located on the back. I no longer remember the date and time the incident occurred with the clock but you could probably find that out by locating my posting about it. I purchased the clock to try an use as an aid to maintain a changing schedule with my mother through the nights. I'm not sure if it was the first night of using it but it was with in the first few nights of using it. The alarm was set to awaken me so that I could change my mother. The clock was placed on the table (not on the edge of the table) in the living room. When the alarm awakened me (which was very fast because I am a very light sleeper due to the navy) I rushed to turn it off only to find it laying face down on the floor some distance from the table that it was placed on. The clock was not damaged. Who or what it startled obviously ran out of time trying to turn it off. The second item in the photos is a motion activated parakeet that I bought at a dollar just a few days ago to give to my mother. I think it works by using light and contrast. It chirps when something passes in front of it or when a light is turned on. This morning I was awoken by the parakeet chirping and when I cracked my eyes I seen the reflection of faint light coming from the living room and thought AH its just sun rise and went back to sleep. A half hour or so after that my mother woke my up by calling to me to change her. I was amazed to find it it was still night time and the sun hadn't came up yet.

Now that is interesting. Have you thought of setting up a camera?

I have thought about a lot of things. That seems like it might be expensive and difficult to do here.

Well, it may not work that well, for unusual occurrences anyway.

There is a hell of a lot to be analyzed and discus here. I can only do it at certain times when I'm not being bothered.

Found 2 new strange things when I got up this morning. 1- When I tried to turn the TV on the cable box was screwed up in a way it has never been before. I had to unplug it to reboot it. Cable boxes do go bad and screw up. 2- Our duster was laying on the living room floor right in front of my recliner. That absolutly was not there when I went to bed last night there is no way it could have been.

That's really weird, I'll agree.

I should take the time to write out everything that I want to say here and organize it nicely but I wont. I'll try to jot down some of the things I think randomly. Actually catching, trapping, defending against, and attacking these intruders is to far down the road for us yet BUT, and this is a VERY BIG BUT. We have a starting point to start working in the direction of those goals. By analyzing their slip-ups and failures we can gain some valuable intel that we can use in pursuing our goals. You have to learn how to crawl before you can walk, run, and enter the Olympics. The clock and bird incidents do have some similarities. It doesn't look like their technology or possible difference(s) from us failed them it was more like lack of knowledge and poor decision making coupled with what looks very much like a time constraint.

I just thought I should try doing some searches for others having and working on this problem. I just did a few on youtube without any luck. Maybe I not using the right words?

This is getting close to what I'm looking for. It might even work in some situation or in conjunction with something else.

There may be a few possible ideas in this video that I can use or alter.

Possibly, it can be hard to find the right key words for some searches. Maybe writing down your keywords as you go might help.
