I am going to a music lesson today. I haven't had one for a long time because I had to cancel several in a row because of the weather.

The next item that I should get for my hiking & survival gear is a sleeping pad. I have 2 closed cell foam ones but they are not good enough. To big and bulky. I want something ultralight that works.

They look pretty good. I would still look up several reviews. Which one were you considering for purchase?

Guess I would go with one of the Inertia X Frames.

I have been studying sleeping pads for days and I still don't know what to get?
OK I'll list a few.
Thermarest NeoAir XTherm Air Mattress
Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Mummy Pad
Exped SynMat UL 7 Sleeping Pad
Klymit - Inertia Recon X Frame - UltraLite Full Length Camping Pad
Klymit - Inertia Military Recon XL Pad - UltraLite Full Length Camping Pad
Klymit Insulated Static V Inflatable Sleeping Pad
At first I kind of like the idea of the X Frame being used inside of the sleeping bag and I thought yah I'll use it a long with a closed foam pad.

That's a good idea. I'd try them both out at home and see how they work together, and of course figure out if you really need both.
