A Kilauea, HI, witness reported watching two objects moving at high speed that could not be identified beginning about 8:20 p.m. on June 6, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside on a clear, dark night with no clouds and looking up at the stars when the first light was noticed traveling at a high rate of speed from the northwest to the southeast.
"It suddenly stopped, sat there for about 30 seconds, and then went backwards a few miles, stopped, stayed there about another 30 seconds, and then took off like a bat out of hell on its original course southeast."
Soon a second object was seen.
"Then about a minute later there was another object similar to the first one, but it was coming from the west, heading east. This one did not stop, but just continued east very, very fast."
The witness does not believe that the two objects were planes.
"These objects were not planes. They were going way too fast and they were not satellites because they were not in outer space. These were definitely in the atmosphere, guessing about 50-60,000 feet up. I live on the north shore of Kauai. Not much up here and no light pollution. Very good for looking at the sky. We see weird stuff here all the time."
