I didn't want to spoil it if anyone hasn't seen it, but I met his daughter and grandson. I nearly chocked on my drink......I knew he'd had lovers but that was a new one. I do sense a problem with him and Intoa though. He being older(Way older) goes with the flow of love but what he and Intoa have is new to the younger man and he's trying to get a clear picture of what it is. Maybe I'm off a bit here but Jack has a lot in comon with the Doctor, all the people you love and protect at some point die one way or another and you are left behind. Creeped me out a little watching Jack grow back together. Although nude Jack was cool ;D I hope he gets that Bitch back for blowing him up, chaining up, and then sealing him in like that. I didn't catch that group though, are they like MI-5, I know they aren't UNIT. This story is good so far, bummed I got to work thur&fri

I did not like how Ianto escaped with Jack on the bulldozer from a hevaily armed military area, but heh, it's television what can you do right?
I think you are more spot on about Jack being like the Doctor then you know EBTL. Check the change my dear thread by the way if you happen to miss any of these, as the closer you get to the end the better it gets.

I'm bummed, does this mean it's over? Well, I think the end was to get Jack out traveling so he can meet up with the Doctor with out any strings, unlike when Ianto and Gwen had to make an appearance in Stolen Earth/Journey's End in the fourth season of Doctor Who. As for the end for Torchwood? I don't know, It was RTD's creation and he leaves both TW and Doctor Who at the end of the year, and is apparently going to ply his trade in America soon, so Moffat (Or someone else could run TW?) would have to run both. I do not think the characters will be completely abandoned, but another series would need a lot of new blood and back story. You are not the only TW fan who is bummed about this, I have read quite a few posts who disliked the conclusions to this one, but to be honest it is one of RTD's better endings to me, it has no 'reset' switch where everything returns to normal, and I like it a lot, despite all the sadness in the resolution. I tried to make that as spoiler free as possible, have you seen the final day yet?

No it's tonight, I have been trying to be good and not see them ahead of Kim. She complains sometimes that I know what's going on before she does and I've been good and played dumb for the most part of what is going on.
Last night was Day 4 so tonight is day day 5.

Ok I'm both shocked saddened and angry all at the same time. The really scary part is I can see the goverment doing that, after all the poor is there to fight their wars and do the jobs they don't want so why not toss them off to the 456 What Gwan said about the Doctor not coming, I always thought of it as he was rescuing someone else at the time but maybe she had a point. Maybe there were times when the Doctor doesn't come because he's so ashamed of us he has to turn away. Yep Jack is so much like the Doctor, even has the running down. I liked Ianto it's so sad Jack had to loose so much this time around and to make that choice with Steven, I don't know if I could. It broke my hearts to watch it. A damn good mini season if I may say and I'm thinking of getting it on DVD. I also want seasons 1&2 Ok now to go see your PM

It was a good series and a better ending as i sdaid then all those 'reset' type ending RTD did with Doctor Who over the years. Although some people and indeed beliefs about other people died with this series, but it was more of what I expected form an apparennt 'adult SF series.
The only question is will there be another TW series? It would be just Jack and Gwen left of course, and RTD is leaving so I'm not sure if he was just making sure no one else could play with his toys when he was gone (Remember the new show runner Steven Moffat created Captain Jack.), but the BBC rating were high, and from what I've heard TW was more popular here on BBCA then Who, so we will see.
Did you get to see Planet of the dead yet?
