Does anyone else here have a bug-out-bag ready? A survival bag that is ready to grab-n-go in case of natural or unnatural disaster. If you have one what is in it? If you don't what would you put in it?

Ah, that's something that we need to assemble. Wikipedia has a list of things to put in one. I'll probably make one up with most of what's in the list. Link to articleI don't care for guns and doubt that I'd add one to the bag. The rest would definitely go in it.

LED flashlights & lanterns are one of the best things that happened for survival gear I think.

I understand about the aversion to fire arms, but if the disaster is a riot or something of that nature I'd be glad to have one handy, I used to shoot hand guns all the time as a kid, they are safe if used properly and only for (Needed!) hunting and self defense.

There is a time and a place for everything.

I've never handled a gun, and would want some instructions on how to do so safely .

I'm sure there are places that have gun classes, and if there is not, there very much should be.

There's probably something around here, but I'm too busy living hand-to-mouth to afford one.
