This is certainly one of my favorite science fiction authors, Heinlein was around for a long time, and his style changed as well as how much of his more sexual and non conformist ideas got into his plots.
I liked Stranger in a Strange Land, but my favorite book by him is J.O.B. an interesting take on alt reality's and on religion, life and death and personal journeys.
I did read a few others of his, but have not even come close to reading his whole catalog of novels. I do like his later works a bit better, but I also think he is one of the better writer's of what I call 'early SF', that era when rockets were rockets and for some book and script writer's there really could be amazon women on the moon lol. But Heinlein seemed better then all that, making him one of the earlier SF writers that I can stand.
I don't have time today to browse it, but I did find these two sites about the author on the web. They look interesting, and I'm going to have to check them out when I have more time.
