I thought that I would start this thread for black birds, crows, ravens, corbies, and not just for Huginn and Muninn (thought & memory). Corbies are very strange and unusual creatures in deed.

There are lots of nice images of these birds that we could pepper this thread with. Attachments:

Whenever I think of Fairy Rings it keeps reminding me of the time that I saw a group of corbies standing in a circle watching 2 in the center doing something. As I was walking all a-lane I heard twa corbies makin mane the tane on-tae the tither did say ooooo Wonder what they were doing? It stood out so much then and became lodged in my memory because it was not typical bird behavior. It was difficult to tell what the 2 in the center were doing. All I can do is speculate. Maybe fighting, maybe dancing? Some kind of meeting?

I found some interesting photos. Unfortunately I changed to Photobucket's beta version and it's changed how things are done. They're probably tired of people copying photos over and over.

To me basically myth says that these are genetically engineered creatures for spying on mankind. I bet you that this turns up in an upcoming episode of Ancient Aliens.

There is a show on our PBS channels tonight titled A Murder of Crows. The write up says that its about crows being one of the smartest animals on the planet. I didn't get to see the first showing and the next one is on to late.
