Urban legends often surround horror movies, with classics such as The Exorcist, The Omen and The Amityville Horror linked to all manner of mysterious tragedies.
Daniel Stamm’s The Last Exorcism may have divided critics but its legacy could have been cemented by an incident that occurred during a showing last night at the Admiral Twin Drive-In in Oklahoma.
Tulsa World report: “The eight-story twin movie screens, located at 7355 East Easton St., caught fire Friday around 1:50 p.m., officials said, sending flames roaring into the sky and devastating the structure… Within 10 minutes, witnesses said, the iconic screens had collapsed into a flaming heap of debris.”
Gossip site TMZ have added to the story: “The Admiral Twin, which opened in 1951 – was playing The Last Exorcism. It was also playing Predators, but those aren’t real – so we can rule them out as a suspect.”
