I finished my letter to Dave Hearn. I got a call already this morning that my new glasses are in so when I go to town to pick them up I will mail Dave's letter at the post office.

I mail Dave's letter this morning.
I introduced myself and told him about myself. I listed the equipment that I have so far. I told him what it's like for me to do astronomy here. I asked him a question about himself. I included a small donation.

My sister is in Florida and when she mails me letters some times they take a week to get here.

I got a letter and a card from my sister who lives in Fort Lauderdale today which is post stamped 05 APR 2017 which makes me think that Dave may have gotten my letter today.
