Now if it had the same odor as well I probably would have taken off running.

I think this is what I was thinking is watercress. It's blooming now so I'll have to check into it.

Here's a millipede. I didn't see as many this time. I missed a great photo opportunity with a baby bunny and a garter snake. I spooked 2 frogs and a small snake that I didn't get a look at.

Was doing some searching. This might be an Iris. What do you think?

I just learned something very interesting about that Iris which makes me think it could have been placed there intentionally. They are used for water treatment because they take up heavy metals.

Was doing some searching. This might be an Iris. What do you think? Perhaps, maybe it's a yellow water iris.

It might be a Muscovy duck. They have these mottled patterns.

When I first got there that's where a lot of waterfowl were hanging out. There was geese, mallard ducks, some other unknown to me kind of ducks, and this one. All of the others got scared and left but this one didn't. That made me think it might be some kind of domestic duck.

Yes, the domestic variety of Muscovy ducks are the ones with the mottling.

I hiked the trail today and seen many wonderful plants and animals. Can you ID this flower? I've never seen anything like it before. It's blue and red. You can't see the red very well in the photo
