How did it go?

Wont know until I take the tape off. I'm having to make stuff up and figure things out as I go along. I'm using the tape to try and make some lines as well as straighten some out. An old dead gift card came in handy as well as a broken yo-yo.

A yo-yo? I would have never thought that they'd be handy for something like this.

Here it is. I'm using the yo-yo as a stable pedestal to hold the shuttle up because I painted some of the under side as well.

What I really got it for is to be a drawing subject so it doesn't even have to turn out perfect. You can see some of the lines I just did with a brush so they are not very sharp.

True, but it will still work fine for a drawing model.

I removed the tape that was in the last photo. There was some bleeding under the tape but mostly just in one spot. It was from to much paint or more likely me hitting it the wrong way with the brush. I reapplied more tape and painted more lines.

I was checking out photos of the real shuttles earlier. They didn't all have the same paint scheme. We will have to see which one mine most closely resembles and that will be the decal name that I put on it.

What was going on with the top of Columbia's rudder? That is an odd little bit on top. Don't know what it is. This site has a picture of a nice model with a good picture of the rudder.

There is that protrusion and if you look at photos of the real one the paint on the top of the rudder has a lot more black on it.

I'll keep searching. Maybe I can find out what it is.
