Today instead of taking my PS Vita when I went to visit my mother I took my sketchbook, a travel case of pens & pencils, and the book on how to sketch that I am working my way through. I did get some done.

I seen a little red squirrel outside my building this morning.
On the way home I seen some ripe dew berries. I think I'm the only one here that knows what they are. Everyone else probably thinks they are black berries. Black berries aren't ripe until the second week of August and grow on a much bigger bush. I've had people tell me already about black berries growing on trees.

Were the blackberry vines crawling the trees, or were they confusing one fruiting plant with another?
I don't think that I've seen dewberries over here. We do have lots of blackberries, and we've already been picking a few to eat now and then.

I just opened my door to look at it again and there was a skunk there shockhairgif
I don't think it is oil this time because it appears to be drying and doesn't have that used oil smell.
I actually heard it when it hit the sidewalk around 11 o'clock.

That's what I've been thinking also.
It was a young black skunk with white stripes. We seem to mostly have them here but we do also have spotted skunks. They put on a bit of a show when they spray.
