There are lots of videos of drawing the moon. One of the interesting things for me is the different techniques they use. At the end of the drawing he put stars over the moon's shadow side. Why would anyone do that? I was loving the drawing up until then.

Yeah, that doesn't may any sense. Even though the artist was drawing a half-moon, it should have just been dark underneath. It looked like something had torn or blasted away the moon's lower half.

The only thing that would come close to that is if the moon was on the horizon with a city's skyline silhouetted in front of it and those were lights from the buildings.
