Well the high for tomorrow is suppose to be 8 degrees with 35 mph wind so it looks like I might be staying home. I might try to make this and do some laundry.

OK, I just sat here and figured out the proportions and actions I'm going to try on my first attempt. Some of it is just best guess work.

She was doing very well today. She told me she is ready to come home. She has been improving every day now for a week or two.

That's good. What do those taking care of her say. Do they agree?

She has to be able to transfer and she is nowhere close to doing that yet. With me about to have another surgery it wouldn't work out with her coming home now anyway. They do agree she is showing improvement mentally.

I agree that even if she could transfer, it would make sense to wait until after your surgery and recovery. It's so good to hear that she's doing better mentally.

OK, I just made it and it is in the refrigerator sitting up now. I did find some things out while making it and some changes need to be made. I was trying to use white sugar and ran a little short so I added some brown sugar to make up the difference. I figured the root beer will be brown anyway and I think the real stuff did have some molasses in it any way. It turned out that the root beer concentrate is clear (I thought it would be brown) so if I used just white sugar the resulting finished gelatin would be clear. What I made has a brown tint to it. Future batches should be made with brown sugar. What I made filled 5 half ounce containers with a tiny bit left over. The remaining question is how is the concentration of flavor. After it sets up I'll find out.

This is how many of these 1/2 cup containers that I was able to fill from that batch plus I had a tiny bit more. It smells like root beer. So far it tastes OK like root beer. Do you think it will make me sick?
