Viva Haunted Vegas Tour and Ghost Hunt
Traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada and looking for something to do in between those mesmerizing casinos and buffets? Check out the spirits that still reside in the streets of the ‘Sin City’ on the Haunted Vegas Tour and Ghost Hunt with your host, Robert George Allen.
Robert George Allen knows his ghosts—sometimes on a personal level. Having spent over 30 years in show business himself, his experiences and tales of Las Vegas adds to the grandeur of the tour. He gives visitors an idea of what life must have been like along the famous strip, sprinkled with fabulous movie stars, and mobsters who were both loved and feared at the same time.
What started out as a weekend ride along ghost tour has blossomed in a full time driving ghost hunt tour combined with stops at several locations where guests can participate in mini paranormal investigations. Guests are encourage to bring their own ghost hunting equipment or simply borrow an EMF meter from your tour host.
This writer and a guest recently participated in the Haunted Vegas Tour and Ghost Hunt on a weekday night. After you make your reservations on line, you will meet your tour guide in the lobby of the Royal Resort at 99 Convention Center Drive at 9:15 PM. Tour leaves promptly at 9:30, so be on time!
Our van driver, along with tour host, Robert George Allen, took our small group on a journey past some of Las Vegas’s grand casinos where we learned about some of its tragic suicides from atop of the Stratosphere and other towering landmarks. Soon we entered Angelina’s Pizzeria for a bite to eat and an opportunity to get to know each of the guests on the tour. The group learned about the former mobster ties to the building while savoring delicious New York Pizza. It was once a popular eating and drinking spot for the mob and celebrities alike. Who is still haunting the restaurant today?
Next stop was Sunset Park. In 1901 it was a cemetery. They left more than 200 bodies buried in the area before construction. Accumulation of the land for the park began in 1909, when it became the Miller Ranch. It later became the Vegas Stock Farm. Clark County acquired the land in 1967 and turned it into a park. Folks on the ghost tour will have a chance to learn about the ghosts who still roam the park and use equipment to perhaps get a message from the beyond.
Another park down the road was on the ghost hunt route for the group. Green Valley Park is a site filled with tragedy and an ongoing haunting of two young boys. Will they give you a sign of their presence? Will they touch your hand? Find out when you make this ghost hunt stop on the tour.
The last ghost hunting stop on the tour was a visit to the one time home of comic Redd Foxx. It was a home he treasured. Does his energy still hang around the old neighborhood? This tour will give you the answers without a doubt!
The Haunted Vegas Tour and Ghost Hunt lasts about 2.5 hours and you will be riding in the comfort of a passenger van for smaller groups and a tour bus for those larger Vegas paranormal enthusiasts. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas—including some of its ghosts of the past.
