Johnstown Central Park's Cannons

I am trying to find out the history of these cannons because I heard decades ago that most cannons in city parks actually were used in combat. I am not sure but I suspect these may be howitzers and not cannons. There are plaques describing everything else but these cannons. I have lived here most of my life and never heard anything about them.
