Ghosts in downtown theater probably friendly

I was invited to tour the inside of the Mesa Theater on Main Street [Clovis, California] yesterday.
It’s a beautiful 90-year-old building with rich history, and while I was admiring the grand space my guide dropped a bomb on me – there are ghosts in the theater.
I’m not sure if she was joking, but I started to watch behind me while we were making our way through the dark spaces.
I’ve never encountered a ghost, but as I started to think about it I decided one in a music-driven theater would be an ideal haunting. Imagine a smooth ghost crooning and snapping his ghost fingers as you walk down a dark hallway — a perfect, personal soundtrack.
Or maybe the ghost has teamed up with ghosts from the other old theaters in town to form a super group. Maybe they didn’t catch their big break in their lifetime and they are looking for another shot.
I have had several conversations with people from Clovis about their paranormal experiences since I’ve lived here. I don’t know if this town is more haunted than others, but it seems like the subject keeps coming up.
There is a pet cemetery behind the house I just bought. The woman who owned the house before us rescued dogs in Clovis and there are several graves behind my backyard for those that reached the end of the line.
I’m starting to suspect a dog ghost may be teasing one of my cats. Maybe all of this talk about ghosts is making me paranoid, but her behavior suggests she may be seeing something I don’t.
I’m not sure if I believe in ghosts, but I think if there are ghosts at the old theaters downtown they are probably friendly musician ghosts who never got past the desire for someone to listen to their sweet tunes.
