Ah, thanks for the tip. The instructions should have included this as well. View AttachmentView AttachmentI took a few photos to show you. These photos are just the outer cup and the inner sieve. See how you can set it for ventilation and draining? Yes, I see how it works.

In this video you can see him spinning the sprouter around in a mesh bag (I been using a stocking). I have some mung beans now so I could do this. See they are not like the mung bean sprouts that you see for or in oriental cooking.

In this video he says and shows the elevated and nesting position. I do not care for how he spins his. It seems to me that the bag or stocking method would do a better job.

A lot of good info towards the end of this video. She talks about tail length and cooking.

She said to chop everything the same size as the lentils and for the dressing she is using olive oil and lemon juice.

I think that I have a better handle on this now. My first try was a bust, a learning experience. My sprouter is cleaned and ready to start another batch.

I was just looking and the mung beans that I just bought at GIANT EAGLE are a 27 oz (1 lb 11 oz) bag of Bob's Red Mill mung beans and I paid $9.49 for them. It is looking to me like with a multiple order I could get them cheaper over the internet. I got them in the organic section but they don't say organic on them.

I'm not certain if everything in the organic section is actually organic or not. I wouldn't assume it is. Also, it looks like this stuff would be cheaper on the Internet for you.

See they are not like the mung bean sprouts that you see for or in oriental cooking. I suspect that the mung bean sprouts that one usually sees in oriental dishes have been allowed to grow bigger.
