Filming continues but no spotting of the new Doc's costume yet.

One guest actor in Victorian top hat and gear, per Galifrey Base:

The crew tried very hard to stop us seeing the veiled stranger at lunch-time. I think it was male, I think tall and fairly slender and he was wearing a top hat - most likely to stop us seeing his hair.

Not meaning to speculate, but I'd say someone of around Richard E. Grant's or Benedict Cumberbatch's proportions.
Please note: I am NOT saying it WAS either of those two - it really could have been anyone that size/shape.

A man in a balaclava and a top hat came out - the crew put up umbrellas so we could not see who it was. The same thing apparently happened yesterday. Perhaps this is a BIG NAME guest star who is being kept secret.
Other than that there were plenty more people in period dress.

Fans must think alike, because a lot of people mentioned Autons.

Some have also said that the phone call is from Doc 11 as Clara does not believe 12 is the Doctor.

He says "I'm standing right in front of you", which kind of/sort of back this up...slightly lol.

They also mention going to get fish and chips after the hug (love his reaction)but the Doc says he has no money.

I knew there had to be a big shoot in costume after the Beeb released the official costume pics.

The Doctor hardly does have any money, though I remember some sort of coin or the other that got up and walked. That was the seventh Doctor's monetary piece, I think. Maybe I can find an online reference.

He is starring as the new doctor in the eighth series.

And it appears that Peter Capaldi, who plays Doctor, has already got his work cut out as recent snaps indicate that filming has already begun for a Jack The Ripper murder scene.

Actors and crew re-created the haunting atmosphere of Whitechapel around the year 1888, on set in Newport, Wales, on Sunday.

Although Scottish actor, Peter Capaldi, 55, who plays the twelfth doctor, was not seen on set at the time, a number of other actors helped to create the murder scene.

On beginning filming for the BBC1 sci-fi adventure in Cardiff, Peter said: 'New job, first day, slightly nervous. Just like the Doctor, I'm emerging from the TARDIS into a whole other world.'

Filming is taking place in Cardiff until August 2014, with the first episode of series 8 being written by Steven Moffat and the second episode penned by Phil Ford.

A poster at GB says an actor was cast as a "Restaurant Droid" in episode one (rumor?).

There is also a rumor that the phone call Clara is taking in the excellent video is from Doc # 11, as she is having problems with Peter Capadli as Doc # 12. A supposed insider said that the line director read Matt's lines on location and Matt recorded the lines earlier for the broadcast version.
"The first assistant director read the lines, so presumably Matt will or has read them."

Could the 12th Doctor's first adventure also feature ... Matt Smith?

Doctor Who TV has a source from the Doctor Who set who claims that Capaldi's first episode will feature Clara still struggling to accept her new traveling companion. Understandably rocked by such a big change, she receives reassurance in the form of a phone call from the Eleventh Doctor, who's apparently calling her from Trenzalore during the time when his regeneration cycle "reset," just before Clara got to see him one last time in the TARDIS control room. Smith reportedly recorded his half of the conversation while filming Time of the Doctor, but, based on Coleman's work on the set, the source passed along this piece of dialogue.

Clara: What do you mean ... “it’s the Doctor?”

11th Doctor: I’m phoning you from Trenzalore.

Clara: I don’t understand.

11th Doctor: From the past. From before I changed. It’s all still to happen for me. It’s coming though, not long now, I can feel it.

Clara: But ... why would you do this?

Smith also reportedly sums up the reason for the call by saying, “I know you’re scared, but he will be too; and he’ll need you.” Then Eleven and Twelve get to have a brief chat.

The 12th Doctor: So who is it?

The 11th and 12th Doctors at the same time: Oh, is that the Doctor?

(Which as I and many many others have pointed out, Clara freaking over regenerations is rather strange as she met every Doctor in his time stream while saving him and the 50th...hmmm...)

People are going ga-ga talking and trying to figure out who the mystery actor in the top hat is...

Also read that awhile back someone posted a supposed episode list that most likely is fake but it said Clockwork Droids, Dalek/Cyberman Hybrids, Saucy Jack, the Master and 12 going back to investigate why the guy in Fires of Pompeii from DT's era looks like him in his newest incarnation??

A leaked script is making the rounds out there in the wilds of the internet, but considering the grammar and spelling errors that have been pointed out as well as the format for the script is wrong (No watermarks/actor's name/Revision designation) it is probably as fake as a three dollar bill...

Also rumors of Daleks in episode two, soldiers in epi two (UNIT?), the strange Victorian male seen in shoots has been speculated to possibly be Spring Heeled Jack and the always kicked about rumors that Paul McGann will return in either series eight or series nine...make of them what you will...

I have heard about EXACT details of the first FIVE scripts of series eight...No joke.

Episode One- Deep Breath: The TARDIS gets puked up by a dinosaur...the clockwork robots from the same era as Girl in the Fireplace are back,but this one has been replacing it's OWN parts with human flesh for quite awhile...The Doctor is very aloof and a bit mean...The robot was looking for the 'promised land' which a person named Missy shows the half face man robot at the end..appears to be the new series 8 arc...

Episode Two-Into the Dalek: Like it says on the tin Doctor and Clara get put inside a Dalek who has seen the light and wants to destroy other Daleks...The Doctor is very much an alien and very different from recent previous Doctors...


Episode Three-Robots of Sherwood: Clara wants to meet Robin hood..the Doctor tells her there is no such person but takes her anyway...Robin Hood is there and duels the Doctor (with a spoon) for the TARDIS...Taken prisoner to the castle, the Doctor finds it is a space ship and it's destination was the promised land, like in epi one Deep Breath with the half faced man/robot...using the legend of Robin Hood to give locals hope while the evil Sheriff plunders gold to make the ship run again...Robin Hood is real...


Episode Four-Listen: The Doctor muses to himself in the TARDIS...the word 'listen' is written on a blackboard (This Doctor love writing equations and other bits of info on a chalkboard with um...chalk)...connected to a nightmare everyone has of a person in the room with you...Related to Danny Pink, Clara's love interest and her date with him...meets him as a boy and meets her great grandson the first time traveler, who over shot and ended up at the end of the universe where this hiding creature is still around after dark...all connected to the Doctor's own childhood, where he would sleep when afraid in the barn from Day of the Doctor...Clara gives the hiding boy some good advice...listen...

Episode Five-Time Heist:Clara is about to go on a date when the TARDIS phone rings and the Doctor Clara and an augmented human and a woman all agree to a memory wipe (via memory worm) after being contacted by the ARCHITECT...they are briefed about a high tech bank/vault...they break in to find it was the actual owner of the bank that called the team in...to save the most precious currency...
