I unpackaged my blue Duncan Imperial yo-yo and took it with us shopping today. It was able to sleep right off the bat. It was like oh wow this is awesome but after a short while I could not get it to sleep any more. When we got home I took off the string and smeared a tiny little bit of petroleum jelly on the part that wraps the axle. Wa-la it seems to have done the trick. I can get it to sleep again

Cool, and it sounds like it is as good a yo-yo as I remember.

Well that petroleum jelly trick didn't last long. Its back to not sleeping. I guess this is why they make most yo-yos with some kind of bearings.

I just made up an order to YoYoSam and will mail it tomorrow. I'm getting that hard case, sample lot of yo-yo strings, friction stickers, a trick book, 6 pc Duncan counterweights collection, and 3 yo-yos. Boy, little things add up quick.

I had to get out of here today to help reduce stress today. The only thing I could think of to do was go buy another yo-yo. I bought a yellow YOMEGA Raider. I for see getting a lot of use out of it. I started practicing forward passes with my Duncan PRO Z they lead into doing loop tricks which is what I really want to do.

The flooding made me miss my music lesson I think that I am going to like yo-yoing. I can do it at bus stops and don't have to worry about props going out into traffic or rolling away down hill.

Sorry you couldn't make it to your lesson. Hope nothing interferes next time. Yo-yos really are just a pull it out of your pocket and just items, which I'm sure most people do enjoy.

Getting back to what to try to use on a fixed axle yo-yo. I seen in a youtube video today that said some people use cornstarch.
