Ghostly Pics: Tulip Staircase GhostsThere are countless ghost stories that come from England, which should not come as a surprise as the area is rich in historical architecture as it is in ghost stories. Proof is needed however for any story that borders on the unbelievable, like ghosts or other paranormal activity.Using that criteria the Tulip Staircase photograph may count among the very best evidence of ghosts and life after death.
The photo was taken in 1966 by the Reverend Ralph Hardy, who was visiting the Maritime Museum in Greenwhich, England on vacation The staircase in the photo was part of the Queen’s House area of the Museum, which resided in a building over four-hundred years old.newsfromthespiritworld.com/2013/06/28/ghostly-pics-tulip-staircase-ghosts/

India: Living with ghosts in the Himalayas In a rural corner of of India, belief in spirits or ghosts is widespread - and modern anxieties may make people more likely to report being possessed.
She chants in a low voice, and blows into his hair. It suddenly dawns on me what she is doing - she thinks he was screaming because he is possessed.
So now she is exorcising the evil spirit from my son's body. Finn is transfixed, and his crying gently subsides.
Eventually, the shopkeeper looks at me and silently tilts his head - all he needs to say that it is finished, now all is well.
There is a murmur of approval from the assembled crowd and we continue with our day.
Spirit possession is a big issue in Bemni.
There are times when villagers expect to be possessed, at weddings, or specially organised pujas, religious ceremonies.

Travel in time with Valley Ghost WalksWant to know more about the Annapolis Valley's colourful past? Join the Valley Ghost Walks, and let Jerome the grave keeper and his ghostly friends inform and entertain you as they tell you about the Valley's many legends, both documented and folkloric.
Told by the ghosts of many long-past local characters, these 100-minute outdoor walks are a creatively spooky way to receive a local history lesson. The tours show you Wolfville and Kentville from a slightly macabre angle, but they won't cause any heart attacks.
The walks take place rain or snow, so participants should dress appropriately and bring an umbrella, bottled water, a flashlight, and bug spray. Adult tickets are $14, students are $9.
As space is limited, reservations to all shows is encouraged, especially in October, by calling 692-8546 or e-mailing jerome@valleyghostwalks.com. They are also available at all TicketPro locations.

Pics from vacant CU medical buildings More than five years after the University of Colorado moved its hospital, medical school and other offices to the Anschutz Medical Campus, the buildings at Ninth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard are still vacant -- or so we thought.
Although there is no movement on the outside -- as one developer after another has abandoned the project -- there appears to be activity inside places like the morgue seen here. And as we note in this week's Off-Limits column, there's plenty more photographic evidence of visitors on view below.
Earlier in June, someone using the moniker Sissyfuss posted dozens of photos from inside the complex on uer.ca, a website for urban explorers -- the brave/foolish souls who sneak into empty buildings or structures for thrills and sometimes chills.

Ghost-hunting with spooky tour guide Bill Spectre LURKING beneath a veneer of majestic architecture and academic prowess, the secretive ghosts of Oxford find their homes between narrow cobbled streets and alleyways; beyond the shaded windows of old colleges and churches.
Some of them hover quietly around the vicinities of high street shops and cafes, invisible to the busy eyes of tourists and locals alike.
If you’re brave enough, your first step will be to join forces with Oxford’s dedicated ghoul seeker, Bill Spectre. Unlike the ghosts, he’s difficult to miss – dressed all in black as a Victorian undertaker, Bill begins his spook tours outside Oxford Castle Unlocked, next to the Castle Mound, on Friday and Saturday evenings. picture541

Abandoned resorts make for spooky summer vacationsMany Bay Area residents have visited the Sutro Baths, former playground at the beach, Palace at Land’s End. Built in 1896, the Baths presented “a wonder of engineering and architecture – entertaining the masses with enormous pools, concerts and an eclectic museum, before a suspicious fire razed the structure in 1966,” writes the San Francisco Chronicle’s Peter Hartlaub. These photos were captured recently by Will Ellis, photographer and creator of Abandoned NYC, a blog capturing abandoned places and forgotten history primarily in New York State, but also, as we see here, in San Francisco.
