I used a milkshake straw for my sight. After you finish yours we'll have to find out how far apart we are distance wise.

I forget. I was just trying to do the math with how I thought we could do it. I don't think it will work. The base of our triangle wont be big enough. There still should be a way for us to do this.

I was just reading that we could do it by using parallax. If we both took a photo of the moon showing background stars at the same time we might be able to figure it out.

OK, we'll give that a try.
It looks like the remnants of that storm will get in the way until the end of the month, though. I've decided to stop guessing at when we'll get a clear night again since the forecast keeps changing.
