I also found a German site with a fairly good picture of the SILTS Pod. It's about halfway down the page. Unfortunately the best picture I found was on an unsafe site, so be careful if you go searching for a picture. My browser warned me before taking me there, so I backed out.

On this side I tried using a Q-tip like how I use to do stencils on T-shirts.

That worked out about as well as using the brush. On this model you are trying to paint a crossed many detail / panel lines. The only other thing I could think of to try would be masking fluid. I have been meaning to get some. Except for spraying clear glossy coats I think I'm done with painting this model. The next steps will be spraying a clear glossy coat then applying the decals and then maybe another coat of clear coat.

Americans and Brits pronounce decals totally differently much more so then aluminium. This fellow certainly pronounces it differently. This guy pronounces it like we do, though. The Canadians pronounce it as dekkle, as well. I suspect that how the word is pronounced is due to how the person hears others pronounce it. You'll probably find it pronounced both ways on either side of the Atlantic.

I'm just guessing but the 2nd guy sounds like he might be an Aussie.

Yes, and it's interesting to note how he pronounces the word, too.

I just made this tray from a box and I'm going to use it to aid with spraying my model. I got this blue tak at Walmart yesterday and I'm using it to protect hole used for mounting it to the stand from getting painted.
