One famous witness was Charles Lindbergh. In 1927 as he made his historic flight across the Atlantic Ocean he reported seeing several of these gremlin spirits in his aircraft cabin.
In the ninth hour of his thirty-three and a half hour flight, he started to feel detached from his surroundings. He stated that he found himself surrounded by a group of vaporous gremlins. They spoke to him thereby keeping him alert. They seemed very knowledgeable about navigation and they also reassured him that he was safe and everything was all right.
Lindbergh didn’t reveal this strange experience until his book The Spirit of St. Louis was published in 1953.
