LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock Police were called out Wednesday afternoon to the report of a dead body at a car dealership on South Loop and University Avenue. Police were told a man was transporting his dead mother’s body in the trunk of a car. The man had an out-of-state address and out-of-state license plates on his car.

Craziness...perhaps he was trying to get into the local car pool lanes?

Perhaps, but I think it more likely that he took this route because when it costs so much when a funeral home transports the deceased.

Yes and the amounts that people have to sometimes pay is horrendous.

Oh I agree. To me graves are a waste of time. Give my body to science or even better yet I saw a thingy that lets you be part of a tree as it grows...

Don't spend thousands of dollars on burying me. Hell, buy yourself something to cheer you up or something or just remember me in your mind and soul...

I agree, Tom. Something like this would be better than the usual funeral arrangements:

Unfortunately it isn't legal yet here in the U.S., or anywhere else I know of.



I like this option as well and it is legal in some states.

Not sure if I'd want to give my body to science or have it plasticized, but I am an organ donor.
