Check this out. Each Duncan Hornet has another set of spacers and an axle taped on the back of the package. I just spoke with yo-yo Sam and they said they came that way from Duncan. Its strange but not the strangest yo-yo packaging I ever got but it was from Duncan also. I didn't discover it until last week. My Speed Beetles weren't performing as good as they should so I thought I would see if there were better spacers in the Duncan bearing packs. When I opened up the Speed Beetles and removed the spacers each contained 2 different size spacers a brass one and a silver one. I'm thinking it was a major screw-up when they assembled them. They may have sold them as factory 2nds but the place I bought them from didn't tell me about it

Well if they are factory seconds they really should have said. It sounds like they were slap-dashed together at the least. Are you going to send them back?

OMG, I maybe a SUPER GENIUS! I just changed the spacers in my Duncan HORNET. The spacer on one of the sides was stuck and would not come out of its whole. It took me a few minutes but I figured out how to do it with out damaging things. Its kind of looking to me like that is why Duncan is supplying the extra spacers and axle that are in a bag taped on the back. I will look more closely at them later but they look like what comes in the yo-yo. If I was to put up a youtube video of how I done it I would probably get a whole lot of views. I just tried the HORNET with the new spacers and WOW what a difference.

That's great. I would think about doing the Youtube video. Even if someone has come up with something similar, how well the video is made really does count. I mean, I've seen instructional videos so poorly done that I've wondered why load them up at all. Technical problems aside, if the instructions are clear, concise and the viewer can see what you're working with and how you're doing it, it really makes a difference.

I was working on my yo-yos last night getting my loopers squared away.

Yesterday while waiting for a bus I was throwing one of my Duncan HORNETs in an alley by the transit center and the string broke. It went BAM on the concrete but didn't break. I restrung it then later after seeing the doctor while waiting for a bus I was throwing some more. I'm starting to get to where I can focus on just using my wrist for loops.

Sounds like you're really getting the hang of loops. I wonder why the string broken, though.

I got some yo-yo play in today. My favorite and best string trick yo-yo so far is my DUNCAN BARRACUDA.

That's good, I'm sure you're happy to be able to do some yo-yoing again.

I have been getting a handle on doing barrel rolls. They make it seem like an easy trick to do but its not. I can do them now just have to polish it to flow and look better. I am going on a search now to try and find some slick 8 yo-yo strings. They are 50% cotton and 50% polyester. I could only find one place before and they one had one color (the worst).
